For parents and caregivers of a child or teen at risk of suicide.
You don’t have to know what to do next.
erelim is a calm, private place to help you keep your child safer, know what to say, and find the right help.
You’re not the first parent to tackle this
When a child is in crisis, so many parents feel they should have seen it coming, and they feel judged for it. You are not failing. Reaching for help is what a good parent does, and other parents have been exactly where you are now.
What you can do here
Make your home safer
Lock up or move the most dangerous things, just for now. It’s temporary, and it’s one of the most effective things you can do.
Notice the warning signs
Learn what tends to show up for your child, so you can catch it early.
Know what to say
Rehearse the words for a hard moment, and what helps more than trying to fix it.
Find people to lean on
Build a small circle of support, for your child and for you.
Get more help, and know when
Understand your options, with one simple rule: when in doubt, call 988.
Keep your child’s plan close
Hold a copy of the safety plan they made with their care team, and understand your part in it.
Look after yourself
Your own wellbeing is part of their care, not a luxury.
And you can ask anything, any time. erelim’s assistant points you to the right tools and resources, and tells you plainly when something is better handled by a person.
What erelim is, and what it isn’t
erelim helps you carry out and keep the plan at home: securing means, knowing what to say, reaching care, looking after yourself. It doesn’t diagnose or treat, and it isn’t a crisis line. When your child is in immediate danger, it points you straight to 988 and emergency help.
